What Does An Artist Do???

Well, here I am again after spending nearly all day in the studio. I'm waiting for things to dry again and grabbed my camera and started shooting photos of myself. I thought I would try some different angles just to see what my face looked like, and now that I have seen it...what this is here is someone that is still in the pajama mode, hasn't showered all day long, and only ventured outside to empty the trash.
I am fairly convinced that a couple of the elderly neighbor ladies here in the condo complex got a shock today when they saw me scuttling by in my pj bottoms, my Free Hugs t-shirt on and no bra. Both of them checked out the fact that I had no bra on and quickly turned their eyes to the ground.
One of them did pipe up though, and say, "I like your Free Hugs t-shirt. That's very cute! I would give you a hug, but my arms are full of packages." That was nice and I appreciated the comment from her. 'Tis the season!

New Folk Art

At last I have finished my cat painting. I have wanted to do many of these types of pop art/folk art style cat paintings for some time now, but couldn't quite get to it and I'm really excited about going in this new direction for a while. This one is an oil done on canvas panel and it's 9 x 12" in size. I absolutely love these folksy looking paintings!!!
I've also completed (I think) my most recent commission of the crocodile. This is going to be a Christmas gift for someone from Australia and his wife hired me last week to do it. I put the finishing touches to it this morning and will now keep it around for a few days to see if I am completely satisfied with it before presenting it to her in its frame. Once I am fully satisfied with it, I will post it in here. It looks very much like the ACEO that I did a couple months back for the eBay auction for the Crocodile Hunter...I merely changed the size and the background this time to reflect some of the texture that is in the frame for the painting.
