VIM blog post
1. What's your day job?
Temping at employment agency.
2. How do you define Creativity? How does it look in your life?
Cause something to exist or come about. In my life it looks like everything that I do, every thought that I have. That is all creativity, to me.
3. What allows you to be the most creative?
Coffee.
4. When did you start blogging? What prompted you to start?
18 months ago. I was in the Art & Marketing group on eBay and most of the artists there were blogging and said it was a great way to come up in search engines and also to get extra traffic to your website.
5. Who/what are your major influences and inspirations in your blogging?
I've loved the blogging process from the very beginning as I have always journaled and love the process of writing. Recently, having other artists blogging on the same subject and sharing our blog posts with each other has been particularly rewarding. I'm still laffing about the gal that cut herself on a Gummy Bear and ended up wearing a Bob the Tomato band-aid.
6. How does blogging reflect (and/or feed) your creativity?
During the course of my day, I use the writing process (blogging or journaling) to mull over ideas in my mind. While writing things out, I have multitudes of ideas come flying in rapidly. Hey, maybe someone is Channeling thru me??? LOL
Okay, that's the end of the questions. Did I pass?
I made a new video tonite called How Can You Tell When You Are In An Artist's Home? It was so fun!!!

Look what I won today!!!

Some of my pals in the CaaT artist group gave me this award! WOW. I was really surprised by this. It's so cool! Each month they pick out a member of the group and give the award to them, so I was the lucky recipient for April. It's very touching that people do such kind things for others, you know?
Here is today's video. This one was done for the Art Divas group of 361 members. Some of the names you might recognize from other eBay art videos that I have in my YouTube channel. I'm not the only one that belongs to numerous art groups.
I've got another project that I am beginning to work on tomorrow. More marketing for eBay artists. Hang onto your hats!

Passion

Our blogging topic for this week is Passion. Anyone that has been reading any of my blog posts for the past 18 months knows that passion is always a part of my life. Very strong likes and dislikes...always a part of my personality.
Recently, I have been tempering these passionate outbursts of thrusting MY Opinion on others, with a kinder and gentler approach to life. After all, who the hell cares what I like or dislike? Just enjoy life and relax!
As a result, I have been attracting much wonderfulness into my everyday existence. I am having much more fun now than I have ever had. This does not mean that my passion for life has lessened...actually it is increased. The people that are drawn to me, and vice versa, are really good people, indeed. No more clashes and disagreements...I've developed an allergic reaction to them. I back away from such things on the rare occasion when they do emerge.
Today I have taken some quiet time to sit and contemplate upon which direction I want to focus my attention as I have been so passionate about so many things recently, that I was becoming dispersed and trying to fly in all directions and do all things. That caused some confusion for me, so today I journaled about what I WANT.
The above collage piece is a large one that I created about 14 years ago when I was first becoming passionate about living my life as an artist. This piece, and many others, were created during a time that I was involved in a passionate love affair which brought on much mental anguish and physical duress to the point that I nearly died. That type of passion, I can live without, too.
But the artwork! This one has remained timeless for me and to this very day I love looking at it, although it now resides someplace far away. I can still see it in my mind..the texture of the piece is gorgeous. I smile just thinking about it.

The ACEO video that I made today...
Check this one out...click here!
I decided to throw some humor into the mix on this one. I have been a member of the first ACEO group since Sept. of 2005...I got involved about a year after it all began. I wasn't around for all the hoopla that first year, but I heard stories.
It has been a wild ride with this ACEO movement. I have been blogging here in my Blogger account since right around the time that I first became an ACEO member. Matter of fact, I have many posts concerning some of our earlier experiences back then...right here in my own little blog! I tried not to get overly detailed about too much since the viewing public can read your blog anytime they want, and I didn't want to cause a fracas.
I even listed a series of ACEOs that I have in my personal collection and did mini-bios about the artists that created them. Some of them are still around, and some are--I don't know where.
Many, many memorable characters have been a part of this story! Now there are maybe half a dozen various ACEO groups on eBay. More people get involved with it every day and we are finally making a move out into the public arena! Hope this video is just the beginning. People don't realize how affordable an art collection of ACEOs really is...and the work is impeccable!
Artists are my very favorite people..............I feel priviledged to be a part of this tribe.
